The occurrence of malfunctions in a
baby diaper making machine, leading to a loss of operational capability, is termed as a fault. When machine components lose their specified operational capacity, it is referred to as a failure. The faults in a
baby diaper making machine and the failures of its parts are interconnected. Failures caused by normal wear and tear or physical and chemical changes, resulting in part deformations, fractures, erosion, etc., are categorized as natural failures.
Types of Part Failures:
Wear and Tear: The most common and widespread form of part failure is wear and tear.
Deformation: The phenomenon where the dimensions and shapes of parts change due to applied forces during the operation of the baby diaper making machine.
Fracture: Parts undergo elastic deformation first under external loads. If the stress exceeds the elastic limit, plastic deformation may occur, and eventually, fracture happens.
Corrosion Damage: The peeling of points on the surface of parts under cyclic contact stress is known as fatigue point corrosion. The chemical and electrochemical damage from the surrounding medium is called corrosion. Pinhole corrosion that continuously expands is known as pitting corrosion. Fatigue point corrosion, corrosion, and pitting corrosion are collectively referred to as corrosive wear.
Methods for Eliminating Machine Failures:
Adjustment Method:
Utilize adjustments in bolt tightness or shim thickness to restore the original mating relationship of components.
Repair without machining the mating components (or only conduct grinding) and use methods like adding shims or adjusting shim thickness to restore the original clearance.
Repair Size Method:
Mechanically machine valuable parts in the assembly to restore their geometric shapes.
Replace the worn part with a new one that matches the machined part, restoring the original clearance in the assembly.
Supplementary Part Method:
This method involves machining and shaping each part of the assembly, followed by reasonable reductions in diameter or expansion of holes.
Add a new, similar material or higher quality lining to the assembly through press fit, threaded fit, or welding.
Machine it to the required mating dimensions to achieve the desired properties.
Maintenance of Baby Diaper Production Machines:
Maintenance work on baby diaper production machines is closely linked to the operational efficiency and success of the enterprise. Regardless of the size of the enterprise, whether large or small, attention should be given, especially in the current context where equipment is continually being updated to high-precision, efficient, and automated devices. Equipment maintenance is crucial.
